During the cleaning process the filter goes THROUGH A PRE HEATING STAGE A CONTROLLED COMBUSTION AIR PULSE HEATING CYCLE FOLLOWED by a cool down cycle to slowly lower the temperature of the filter and reduce the potential of filter damage from thermal shock. !FTER THE COOL DOWN CYCLE IS COMPLETED the diesel particulate filter can be removed FROM THE 4HERMAL 2EGENERATOR CABINET AND REINSTALLED IN THE 0ULSE #LEANER FOR A l NAL cleaning of the ash residue. !
